Salt Lake City Mission Thanksgiving Week

All of us at the Salt Lake City Mission would like to give a heartfelt "Thank You" to all the donors & volunteers who made these events possible!

As to the wonderful people who were not able to volunteer due to our shifts being filled up, we want to take this opportunity to remind you we will be serving
Christmas Day Dinner & New Years Day Dinners in the same manner. Your help in all areas is very much needed.

We distributed nearly 1,000 coats, hundreds of hygiene kits and many other items for men, women and children.

	Monday November 23rd 2009 3,100 meals served. Coats and other clothing along with hygiene kits and misc. items were distributed to men, women and children. View News Clip

	900 Turkeys were distributed to Utahs' most needy and poor. 420 Turkeys with all the trimmings and fixings for a complete Thanksgiving dinner were provided on Tuesday November 24th at Salt Lake City Mission & Eagle Ranch's "Annual Food Basket Giveaway" View News clip Photos
The 420 needy house holds consisted of: 1258 Adults and 1002 Children. 480 Turkeys were also distributed to 14 other rural distribution centers, IE., Church Pantries, Food Pantries, etc., to provide Thanksgiving Food Baskets for needy families in their communities.

1,657 {this is low due to bus problems] meals were served along with thousands of pieces of clothing and coats were distributed to men, women and children along with hygiene kits and other misc. items.
